Refund Policy

Last updated: July 31, 2026

Credits are bought through Paddle.com, which acts as merchant of record (authorised reseller) for the purchase. Paddle's Refund Policy governs every transaction; this page explains how it applies to ASOptimus credits and what we do on top of it. Where the two differ, Paddle's policy and your statutory rights prevail.

1. Credits are prepaid usage

Credits are debited per verified keyphrase — that is, after the measurement and scoring work has actually been performed for you. Unless applicable law requires otherwise (section 2), transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, and spent credits are not refundable: the work they paid for has been delivered. Credits are a one-time purchase — there is no subscription, nothing auto-renews, and there is nothing to cancel.

2. Statutory cancellation rights

Where the law of your country gives you a right to cancel, you keep it, and Paddle honours it:

  • EU/EEA, Switzerland, UK — 14-day withdrawal right for digital content. It ends once supply begins with your express consent, so for credits it covers the unused balance.
  • Turkey, Israel — 14-day withdrawal right.
  • South Korea, Brazil, Canada, China — 7-day unconditional right to cancel after delivery.
  • Singapore — 5-day unconditional right to cancel after delivery or first access.

This mirrors Paddle's Refund Policy at the time of writing — check their policy for the current and complete list.

3. Discretionary refunds

Outside those statutory cases, refunds are at our and Paddle's discretion and are not guaranteed. Refunds are refused where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse or other manipulative behaviour.

4. Beta and promotional credits

Free credits granted during the beta or promotions have no cash value and are not refundable or exchangeable under any circumstances.

5. Defective service

If a run demonstrably malfunctioned (crash, corrupted output, double charge), contact us — runs are fully logged and verifiable, and we re-credit for defective work. That is a re-credit to your balance, not a cash refund. Where there is a material technical or product defect that kept the service from working as described, a monetary refund can be issued through Paddle instead.

6. How to request a refund

Fastest route: email hello@asoptimus.com from your account address with the purchase reference from your receipt. You can also go straight to Paddle — use the "View receipt" link in your receipt email, the support link in that receipt, or paddle.net and choose "Request refund".

7. How the money comes back

Approved refunds are processed by Paddle to the same payment method where possible, within 14 days of approval. Card payments are handled by Paddle — we never see or store your card details — and charges appear on your statement as a Paddle payment (usually PADDLE.NET* ASOPTIMUS). Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank; a conversation resolves faster for everyone.

8. Who you buy from

ASOptimus is operated by ESWARDEN LLC, registered in Georgia. Purchases are processed by Paddle.com as merchant of record — Paddle is the seller for the transaction and handles your payment, invoice and sales tax/VAT under Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy. Questions: hello@asoptimus.com.
